Tindersticksin edellisestä levystä (Waiting For The Moon) on ehtinyt vierähtää jo viitisen vuotta. Aikaa ovat vieneet erilaiset projektin kuten lauluja Stuart A. Staplesin sooloura. Huhtikuun 28. päivä yhtye kuitenkin palaa elävien kirjoihin uuden The Hungry Saw -levyn kera.

“The band has simultaneously stripped down to its core and expanded into a larger family of musicians – some familiar faces, some new ones. This fresh input, along with the perspective of our time away, seems to have made us rediscover the soul of the band. (The album) was recorded quickly in our new ‘Le Chien Chanceux’ studio in deepest France – an ambient space, craved for for a long time.”

Yhtyeen MySpacessa on kuunneltavissa ja ladattavissa kappale The Flicker Of A Little Girl. On hieno huomata, ettei Tindersticksillä on pakonomaista tarvetta uudistu, vaan se keskittyy enemmänkin varioimaan ja vahvistamaan jo toimivaksi havaitsemaansa.
